Abrau-Durso Group announces the appointment of a new CEO of the Yubileynaya agro-firm and winery

Vyacheslav Smirnov was appointed CEO of the Yubileynaya winery and its grape-growing assets.

Vyacheslav Smirnov graduated from the Economics Department of Novosibirsk State University. For over fifteen years, he has managed financial and economic activities at Russian enterprises in various industries, including the food industry and agro-industrial complex.

From 2020 to 2022, Vyacheslav Smirnov was CFO of the Yubileynaya agro-firm and winery and was responsible for the successful integration of the farm's assets into the Abrau-Durso Group following its acquisition. During this period, the company established financial processes and implemented standards of economic activity according to the Group's regulations and policies.

On April 1, 2022, Vyacheslav Smirnov took the position of the CFO of the Abrau-Durso Project Office, where he participated as an expert in the development of the financial model of the investment project of the Abrau-Durso Group for the creation of a tourist cluster of federal significance implemented jointly with Corporation Tourism.RF JSC. Then he developed and implemented a strategy for the financial efficiency of the Atelier Wine retail sales network and the 1870 Abrau-Durso restaurant chain, as well as other projects.

Vyacheslav Smirnov was appointed CEO of the Yubileynaya winery and its grape-growing assets following his successful work and personal achievements within the Abrau-Durso Group, as well as his managerial skills.

The Yubileynaya enterprise became part of the Abrau-Durso Group in 2020. The purchase of the vine-growing and winemaking assets of the Yubileynaya farm was an expected and important step opening up new opportunities for the Group's development. As a result of the transaction, the total area of vineland of the Abrau-Durso Group doubled.

Today, the area of the Yubileynaya farm is 3.4 thousand hectares of vineland, of which more than 2 thousand hectares of vineyards in use. Thus, by the end of 2023, the total area of vineyards of the Abrau-Durso Group totaled 6.7 thousand hectares, of which 4 thousand hectares are in operation.

In 2022, the Abrau-Durso Group decided to create a nursery based on the Yubileynaya agro-firm to develop its own vineyards and thus cover the need for imported planting materials. The nursery is now in test mode and its official opening is expected this summer. In 2023, 230,000 young plants have already been produced, with plans to produce twice as many in 2024. The production potential of the complex is estimated at 1.7 million grafted grape seedlings per year. As the complex reaches full capacity, the development of commercial nursery production will begin.
